Thirteen years ago, I decided to audition for a performing arts group (Pacific Crest Drum and Bugle Corp) and I made it. As the only out of state member though, I didn't know anyone and didn't have a place to stay for the summer. A girl by the name of Kari took me in and I lived in her parents' RV in their backyard for three months.
Kari had an amazingly talented and welcoming group of friends which consisted of Melissa, Caryn, and Stephanie. These ladies gave me one of the best summers of my life. In fact, I came back to the same group the following two summers!
We've stayed good friends over the years and have attended each other's weddings. Kari is now married and has two little boys, whose ages are very close to the two of mine. Melissa got married last year and is now expecting her first child. Caryn has been married for just a few weeks. And Stephanie...well, she's next!
It's been a few years since I've seen her, but I'd do anything for her! I can also tell how madly in love she is with her fiance, Vince. I feel so fortunate that she is trusting me to take care of her wedding stationery.
Stephanie really loved the idea of a scratch off save the date and is using a peacock blue for one of her wedding colors.
I really love how these turned out! If only I could be there to see the look on their faces when they see them in person!
